Wall Art - Zing Style

Mbekweni in Paarl is getting another Zing facelift thanks to local artist, Thembinkosi Mzinzi.The slogan on the wall means “Zing the thirst quencher”.

Zing gets in touch with its creative roots

Thembinkosi Mzinzi, a local artist, is painting a work of art in honour of Zing on some of the walls in Mbekweni, Paarl.

This is Zing’s very first township wall of advertising and the slogan on the wall means “Zing the thirst quencher”.

We are getting thirsty just looking at it!

Little boxes of magic

Winter is still very much around, and keeping energetic little ones occupied indoors is no picnic. But fret not despondent moms and dads - Vee's Video is running a special that will keep bored kiddies occupied for days to come: Rent the Pirates of the Caribbean DVD and get a free surprise 'treasure chest' filled with magical treats, toys... and Zing! Because everyone knows that no special is truly 'special' without a dash of fruity and delicious Zing.

The juice box gets on the soapbox

Zing was put in the spotlight at this month's Afri-Save Traders Club meeting on 20 July, where our crew gave a fruity Zing presentation. The aim of the talk was to give the club members some inside information on Zing and its various flavours. As always the tasting cups went along and the loyal club members were all too keen to give the fruity sips a try.

Even after the last testing cup was drained, the joy kept on flowing as we handed out gifts and prizes - the biggest of which being the customary R10 000 lucky draw. This time around the lucky winner turned out to be Mr Hofnie Barnard, who proudly walked off with a cheque tucked in his pocket and a smile glowing

Happy days at the Zing Ilovu promotion

Zing created quite a stir at the recent Ilovu promotion, luring swarms of curious locals to the stand with the variety of delicious fruity flavours.


The Spin & Win wheel also made an appearance, sending many victorious locals off with branded Zing goodies...


...but luck was not on everyone's side.


At the end of the day, every visitor to the Zing stand left with a fruity smile on their face, and a Zing in their step.

Vee's add a Zing to their birthday

Zing Fruit Juice travelled to KZN to promote their juice and brand. The promotion at Ekwandeni Tavern was well received and Zing gained a lot of exposure.

Nippers to the rescue!

Zing's Big Bay Nippers participated in the Western Province Championships over the weekend of 2 and 3 April 2011, while they took to the beach again over the weekend of 9 and 10 April for the National Championships. It's been a busy month for the Nippers, but they're looking very competitive!

Zing supports 2011 CANSA Relay

CANSA is a community-driven and volunteer-based organisation that has been fighting cancer for the past 80 years. Zing Fruit Juice supported the 2011 CANSA Relay. Runners were treated to Zing juice at the starting and finishing point of the race, so some runners had a taste before the race and others after.

Shield Trade Show 2011

Trade shows, like the Shield Trade Show in the Eastern Cape, offer a platform for the industry to showcase and demonstrate their latest products, services and examine the most recent market trends and opportunities. Zing had a lot to show and put up a lovely display for the 2011 Shield Trade Show.

Zing goes island style

Zing Fruit Juice took a little trip to the tropical paradise just east of Madagascar, a little island called Réunion. No, it wasn't a holiday, although we did enjoy the surroundings quite a lot! Zing Fruit Juice ran promotions across the island. Here are some photos to give you a feel of what we got up to on the island:

Zing was favoured by the locals, especially the Apple and Mango & Orange flavours. It mixes well, and allows non-drinkers to enjoy the cool vibes at the local bar.

Mbewkweni United deserve their accolades

Zing Mbekweni United's junior teams participated in the Mayoral Cup and claimed title for the fourth time out of five. Well done on great skill, focus and dedication!

Well done to Mbekweni United for receiving the Mayoral Cup for the fourth time out of five times that you participated - it seems like there is no stopping you!

In other matches played, Mbekweni United hasn't lost one game as of yet, with two wins and two draws on their 2011 log!

Clear blue Transkei

The Zing van parked in Mthatha at SPARGS Wholesale and Retail for a promotion over 24 and 25 November 2010! There was a Spin 'n Win Wheel that attracted customers to try their hand at winning branded Zing items, including pens, bottle openers, t-shirts, caps and buckets!

These two days gave the Zing brand a lot of great exposure, and stirred excitement among the visitors... a good thing the Zing van came equipped with speakers and good music to entertain the masses!
